A national website developed by the NSW Department of Education and Training is aiming to increase community awareness and uptake of skills recognition through Registered Training Organisations. Skills recognition means that the skills and knowledge gained by individuals through informal learning may count towards a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment.
The website, skillsrecognition.gov.au, explains the different kinds of skills recognition (also referred to as recognition of prior learning or RPL), and contains practical information for students on the recognition process, as well as frequently asked questions.
